I was sleeping on Monday the whole day. Ok, besides this one hour spent with Lukasz at the radio, when we talked about my trip and how it happened that I decided to travel and what do I think where it will lead me to.
Yesterday I got up early in the morning, ready to work. Laundry done, breakfast eaten, to do list almost ready, Internet works – everything under control!
That means it’s time for some summaries (yes yes, we all know already that I love digits, lists, summaries etc. etc.). That said:
Stage one: Warsaw – Krakow
- A MAP
Thanks to an amazing app Strava, which I have discovered thanks to Florent and his project One Gear One Lens (btw. I love this project, really! Do you know what Flo did? He cycled every single block in Manhattan! Cycled! On a bicycle! And registered everything thanks to this app! Check it out!).
I have also created the stage one map of my project. It looks like this and I promise to update it accordingly:
Ps. The gap in the south was created after I leaft Olkusz and I forgot to switch the app on!
- SEVEN CITIES
The route was leading me through: Warsaw – Grójec – Tomaszów Mazowiecki – Gidle – Częstochowa – Olkusz – Kraków. It looked like this:
- FIVE HOSTING FAMILIES
I spent this time meeting amazing people that hosted me at their places, fed me and reminded me about how Polish hospitaslity looks like! Thank you all so much for all the apple and not only pancakes, carrot cakes and all other types of cakes, baked potatoes, spinach-potato dumplings, hummus, all kinds of vegetables, and the most important – STEWED FRUIT of different flavour every day, that made me stronger and stronger!
It’s definitely you who made this first week of my travel so amazing!! All of you together and each of you separately – you are just wonderful human beings!
Agata, Ala, Piotr, Beata, Paweł – thank you! ❤

- KRAKOW
Now I’m in Krakow, between friends. Krakow is my second home. Or third, depending how you count. I’ve lived here for seven year and I always come back here with a huge sentiment.
Kasia, thank you for welcoming me at the Mickiewicz’s statue!

And thank you for your hospitality – I really didn’t expect such an amazing and warm welcome! ❤
